Ecologist Leader

Our client, a leading environmental consultancy, is seeking an experienced Principal Ecologist to join their team at Penguin Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality ecological services to clients across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to various projects, applying your expertise in field surveys, assessments, and reporting.
• Guide clients through the planning and licensing processes, ensuring timely delivery and financial oversight.
• Develop fee proposals and maintain high-quality standards.
• Manage projects efficiently, ensuring clear communication of recommendations.

Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in ecology.
• Ability to lead Phase 1 habitat/UKHab assessments and conduct protected species surveys.
• Protected species licence (ideally Level 2 bat licence).
