About the Role:
The Chef Manager will be responsible for the operation of the catering department and service provided in a 75-bed care home. This will involve managing a team of staff, liaising with residents and families, and ensuring that dietary requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the catering department and ensure that high-quality food is served to residents and staff.
- Liaise with staff, residents, and families to ensure that their dietary needs are met.
- Oversee the ordering and inventory of food and supplies.
- Ensure that the kitchen is clean and well-maintained at all times.
- Manage the budget for the catering department.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
