Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise in environmental permitting and regulatory compliance
  • Guide clients through the consenting process under the Environmental Permitting Regulations (EPR) regime in England and Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland
  • Conduct feasibility and due diligence assessments, develop consenting strategies, and coordinate stakeholder liaison
  • Ensure operational compliance and closure support for clients
  • Collaborate with client teams, investors, regulators, and legal experts
  • Undertake work associated with preventing waste generation, using, or managing soils/aggregates from and in construction

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • An Honours Degree in Environmental/Earth Science or broader Environmental Management
  • Experience working in environmental consultancy, industry operators, or the UK environmental regulator(s)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new situations

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you can expect:

You will be a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about environmental sustainability. You should be able to work effectively in a remote team and travel occasionally between Stantec's UK offices, as well as attend client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
