Job Description
The role involves working as a Student Support Mentor in a vibrant secondary school in Tower Hamlets, London. The school has a forward-thinking approach and emphasizes teamwork among staff to meet the diverse needs of its students.
Your Role in the School
You will be a consistent and approachable mentor for students needing additional behavioural and emotional support. Your tasks will include running small group sessions to build skills such as conflict resolution, emotional regulation, and self-esteem. Strong communication skills are essential to build relationships with students, staff, and families. Confidence in implementing behaviour strategies and fostering a positive classroom culture is also required. Finally, a commitment to creating opportunities for students to reach their full potential is necessary.
