**About the Role**

Chiltern Park Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing all aspects of new products, working closely with clients in various industries such as automotive, scientific, pharmaceutical, electronics, oil and gas, and food processing.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Review requests for customized existing pneumatic products from sales to ensure specification is clear and viable
  • Work with designers to create concept designs of customized existing products to meet customer requests
  • Create detailed parts drawings for prototype testing with designers
  • Carry out testing of pneumatic products
  • Ensure timely completion of own projects
  • Participate on larger projects with supervision from senior engineers
  • Provide technical product support to European subsidiaries
  • Visit customers to determine technical requirements for special products
  • Participate in technical market research activities and provide technical support concerning directives and standards relevant to pneumatic products

**Requirements**

  • Minimum 2.1 degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar
  • Experience of managing projects
  • Experience of working in a design environment and CAD
  • Experience in writing technical reports
  • Ability to work as part of a multicultural team
  • Able to travel to European customers when required
  • Relevant experience
  • PC skills: minimum MS Word and Excel
  • Excellent spoken and written English
