About the Role: As a Forklift Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of forklifts and other material handling equipment for a range of clients. You will work independently in the field, attending customer sites to ensure machinery is running smoothly and efficiently. A fully equipped company van will be provided for your daily work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs of forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and safety checks on customer equipment.
  • Provide technical support and advice to clients while on-site.
  • Complete detailed reports and records of all work completed.
  • Communicate effectively with the office and other team members to ensure smooth workflow.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Forklift Engineer or in a similar role, specifically in the maintenance of forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Strong technical skills with a solid understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in forklifts.
  • Ability to work independently, managing your schedule and workload efficiently.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
