About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our Clinical Sciences department. The successful candidate will support projects focused on identifying and refining interventions targeting viral pathogens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain mammalian cell culture viral propagation methods
  • Support preclinical antiviral drug discovery programs
  • Develop new viral-controlled human infection models
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and stock inventory
  • Prepare stock compounds and reagents
  • Plan and perform experiments independently
  • Support research students and identify project risks and opportunities
Requirements
  • PhD qualification in Biological Sciences or related discipline
  • Practical laboratory experience with experience of working independently
  • Experience in viral culture and mammalian cell culture
  • Strong attention to detail with previous experience in generating laboratory data
  • Experience in publishing high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals
