Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and planned preventative maintenance on industrial/commercial refrigeration equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in utility equipment, following established procedures and protocols.
  • Record equipment history and quality system documentation as required.
  • Provide detailed handovers to engineering colleagues and ensure smooth communication within the team.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, good manufacturing practices (GMP), and site-specific policies.
  • Manage contractors and supervise their work, adhering to strict health and safety guidelines.
  • Pursue process improvements and collaborate with the team to enhance equipment reliability.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Servicing and Maintaining Refrigeration Systems or equivalent qualification.
  • F-GAS 2079 CAT 1 certification.
  • Proven experience in the refrigeration service industry, preferably in a pharmaceutical setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Qualifications in electro or mechanical engineering are advantageous.
  • Prior experience with utilities systems, such as boilers, chillers, HVAC, water systems, compressors, BMS, and refrigeration equipment, is beneficial.
  • History of shift working and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances is desirable.
  • A positive attitude, open to change, with a proactive approach and a passion for success, is essential.
