Job Description:

The Infrastructure Support Specialist is a critical member of our IT team at The Planet Group. As an IT Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing IT infrastructure solutions that drive business growth and innovation.

Responsibilities include maintaining Active Directory, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and managing server hardware. You will also be responsible for monitoring Windows server performance and providing metrics for capacity management purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain Active Directory to ensure secure and efficient system access.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues with Windows systems.
  • Monitor Windows server performance and availability to ensure optimal system operation.
  • Provide metrics for capacity management purposes to inform strategic decisions.
  • Implement load balancing to optimize server performance and efficiency.
  • Identify, upgrade, and replace server hardware as needed to maintain system reliability.
  • Conduct periodic high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) planning exercises to ensure business continuity.
  • Manage and participate in projects as assigned, collaborating with team members to deliver project goals.
  • Resolve assigned trouble tickets efficiently and accurately document technical designs and procedures.
  • Communicate information effectively through written and oral communication.
  • Participate in On-Call rotation to ensure seamless service delivery.


Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $95,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement savings plan, and generous paid time off.
