Automation Framework Developer

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive automation framework in Unity to streamline testing processes.
  • Evaluate and integrate the framework with device farms to ensure seamless testing.
  • Identify and implement new automation hooks into the game to support testing.
  • Proactively identify gaps in the end-to-end automation solution and implement tools to fill them.
  • Manage automated test suites and trigger them on build machines.
  • Implement, collect, and organize test artefacts from automated tests.
  • Create automated reports for pass/fail rates, reliability, and other key metrics.
  • Diagnose and manage failing tests, and categorize common failure reasons.
  • Cultivate expertise in automation and mentor the QA team to utilize the framework effectively.
  • Educate the wider team on the importance of automated testing and its benefits.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and point of contact for automation within the team.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to apply automated testing to game feature development.

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive experience with Unity is essential.
  • Proficiency in Python and C# programming languages.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (3+ years) as a SDET/Technical QA Lead or similar role.
  • Experience in designing and implementing at least two frameworks from inception.
  • Able to review and analyze system requirements and understand technical architecture.
  • Experience with end-to-end automation pipelines, including CI, device farms, and reporting of results.
