Senior Structures Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structures Engineer to join our Offshore Structures team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing and following up on technical documentation and analyses produced by other Contractors, particularly for decommissioning projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and review design approaches and structural analyses produced by internal teams.
  • Execute structural analysis for offshore substructures and topsides.
  • Develop and define the best technical solutions for offshore structures during various design stages.
  • Ensure compliance with structural design standards and Company HSEQ policies.
  • Collaborate with immediate and wider teams during project execution.
  • Liaise with other disciplines during project execution.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation related to Structural Design activities.
  • Review and approve FEED, Tender, and Detailed Engineering performed by Contractors.
Requirements:
  • Strong experience in analyses and design of offshore structures.
  • Ability to create and verify FEM models of fixed offshore structures.
  • Experience in definition and design of foundation systems.
  • Experience in structural detail design associated with decommissioning of offshore platforms.
  • Experience in design for nonlinear analyses, blast, dropped objects, impact, redundancy, pushover analyses.
  • Experience in re-design and assessment of brownfield structures, life extension, reliability analyses.
  • Proficient usage of software for design of structures.
About the Role:

This is a contractor role with a SmartWorking policy allowing personnel to work from home or a secure location for up to 12 working days/month. The role is part of a Deep Water O&G Floating unit (FPSO, FLNG etc) project located at the Client Office in Hampshire, UK.
