An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated individual to take on the role of Senior Practice Operations Manager at St Georges Surgery in Wrexham.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth, efficient, and profitable running of the practice, ensuring a happy and committed team. They will also be required to keep the partners informed of forthcoming changes in the NHS and provide options for responding to change.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the administrative staff and non-clinical management of nursing staff, including securing funding and taking lead responsibility in staff appraisal and organising recruitment, selection, and training for all staff.
  • Ensure contracts of employment are provided to all staff and that all relevant employment legislation is followed. Ensure the practice's employment policies and procedures are comprehensive and up-to-date.
  • Responsibility for petty cash. Other financial aspects of the practice, including payroll and NHS pension scheme arrangements, are dealt with by our accountant.
  • Responsibility for the computer system, including organising any maintenance and developments to the system. Ensure compliance with Data Protection legislations.
  • Responsibility for security, repairs, insurance, and maintenance of premises, services, and equipment.
  • Ensuring that the practice complies with aspects of Health & Safety at Work (HASAW) legislation.
Requirements
  • GCSE grade A to C English and Maths.
  • A people person with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills, organisational skills, and management experience.
  • Computer literacy and knowledge of relevant software.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and analytical skills.
