At Whitbread, we're committed to making a positive impact on the environment and society. As our Sustainability Manager, you'll play a key role in driving our sustainability programme, Force for Good, and ensuring our supply chain is responsible and compliant with relevant legislation.

You'll be accountable for managing and mitigating commercial, legal, and reputational risks associated with poor supplier performance, and for assuring security of supply for our core brand offerings. You'll also be responsible for developing and implementing our responsible sourcing strategy, and influencing stakeholders to integrate sustainability into our core procurement processes.

What you'll do:

  • Assess our current supply chain performance and develop a business response to key issues.
  • Define our targets and commitments for responsible sourcing and ensure they're met.
  • Develop and manage the implementation of our responsible sourcing strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant supply chain legislation, such as the EU Deforestation Act and the UK Forest Risk Commodities Act.
  • Influence stakeholders to support integrating sustainability into our procurement processes.

What we need:

  • Knowledge and passion for sustainability, including subject matter expertise in relevant areas of our programme.
  • Responsible sourcing project management experience.
  • Understanding of how sustainability can add value to our business.
