We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Principal Geo-Environmental/Geotechnical Engineer to join our expanding team at GreenJobs Ltd. In this key role, you will have the responsibility of leading a talented team, enhancing team performance, and coaching and supervising supporting staff. You'll be working within a passionate and supportive team, striving to achieve group targets for sales, successful project delivery, and exceptional client satisfaction.

The successful candidate will be based at our client's office in the UK. However, the role may require travel and occasional overnight stays throughout the UK and possibly beyond, depending on project requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • A BSc, BEng, or MSc/MEng in Environmental Science, Soil Science, Earth Sciences, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.
  • A proven track record in geo-environmental/geotechnical consultancy within the UK.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in geo-environmental and geotechnical principles and practices, including planning and supervising ground investigations, reporting, and preparing contract drawings, site investigation specifications, and schedules in compliance with UK standards.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex data and provide clear, actionable insights.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively, manage and mentor junior colleagues, and foster a positive, productive team environment.
  • Creative and quick-thinking, with a knack for developing innovative and practical engineering solutions.
  • Commitment to personal growth and the ability to support the learning and development of others.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building robust relationships with colleagues, clients, and contractors.
