Kitchen Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Harbour Healthcare Limited. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, providing excellent food preparation and presentation to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Wash and store utensils and dishes, maintaining a well-organized kitchen environment.
- Sort, store, and distribute ingredients, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Dispose of rubbish and maintain a clean and tidy kitchen area.
- Organize sufficient supply of laundry cloths, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment.
- Clean food preparation equipment, floors, and other kitchen tools or areas, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
- Assist and execute various kitchen duties, including ensuring cleaning schedules are adhered to.
- When required, assist in preparation and serving of all meals, providing excellent customer service.
- Ensure equipment supplied is used with care, in accordance with suppliers' instructions and training.
- Report any equipment faults immediately, ensuring minimal disruption to kitchen operations.
- Support the delivery and serving of food, if required, maintaining a high standard of presentation and service.
- Understand and respect the specific diets identified as required by Service users, sharing any dietary concerns with the chef.
- Present yourself in a clean, hygienic, and well-presented manner at all times, reflecting the high standards of Harbour Healthcare Limited.
