**Job Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Youth Sports Educator to join our team as a Sessional Basketball Coach at The Manchester College's Openshaw Campus.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality coaching and mentoring to students, supporting their physical, technical, and tactical development while promoting teamwork, discipline, and personal growth.

This role involves delivering structured and engaging sessions, fostering a positive environment, and aligning coaching activities with the institution's educational and extracurricular goals.

You will also be responsible for assisting and supporting the team in training and match days home and away.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality basketball coaching and mentoring to students.
  • Planning, delivering, and evaluating basketball coaching sessions.
  • Fostering a positive environment and promoting teamwork, discipline, and personal growth.
  • Aligning coaching activities with the institution's educational and extracurricular goals.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 Basketball Coaching qualification.
  • Proven experience coaching basketball, particularly with young people aged 16-19.
  • Experience planning, delivering, and evaluating basketball coaching sessions.
  • Familiarity with working within a structured educational or sports environment.
