Position Overview

ROLE SUMMARY

Team Introduction

RPC's Liability Claims team is on the lookout for a skilled Paralegal to enhance our operations in Bristol. This team is a vital component of our Insurance Division, representing a diverse portfolio of leading liability insurers in managing their employer, public, and product liability services for insured enterprises. The primary focus of this role is to oversee a variety of personal injury claims associated with these insurance policies.

The ideal candidate will join a dynamic and expanding team, engaging in work that is diverse, stimulating, and intellectually rewarding.

The General Liability Insurance team operates across multiple locations and collaborates closely with the Medical and Life Sciences teams. Our current structure includes 4 Partners, 3 Senior Associates, and 4 Associates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing a portfolio of Employer Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) claims, particularly those involving personal injury.
  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, timely services to clients, maintaining exceptional standards of client care and adherence to established service agreements.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement by actively sharing knowledge and assisting colleagues; taking initiative in team development activities such as training, process enhancements, and resource management.
  • Gathering and organizing necessary Management Information in line with client requirements.
  • Contributing to the enhancement of the team's services, support mechanisms, and operational procedures.
  • Opportunities to participate in client events and potential travel, primarily to London.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in managing a caseload of EL and PL claims, with a focus on personal injury and fast-track litigation.
  • Litigation experience is essential; familiarity with insurance matters is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of legal processes and protocols.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Superior organizational skills with the capacity to adjust to changing priorities and modify plans as necessary.
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving capabilities, while recognizing when to seek guidance.
  • Ability to cultivate collaborative relationships with clients and colleagues to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Attention to detail and effective organizational skills are crucial.
  • Commitment to a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture.
  • High standards of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Proficient in working efficiently and commercially, with an understanding of financial accountability.
