Transport Operations Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team at JRL Group Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for scheduling and allocating work to drivers, ensuring efficient routes and timely completion of tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- High-quality scheduling and allocation of work to drivers, considering factors such as traffic, road conditions, and vehicle maintenance.
- Monitoring driver progress and taking necessary measures to ensure tasks are completed on time.
- Utilizing operational systems to track work completion and identify areas for improvement.
- Reporting vehicle maintenance and repair issues to the Head of Transport.
- Conducting daily driver debriefs for Trade Waste collections.
- Maintaining accurate driver records, both electronically and in paper format.
Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of the Greater London area and the challenges of planning routes across the city.
- Self-motivated with a friendly and approachable manner.
- Ambitious and confident with a real 'can-do' attitude.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Full driving license.
- Transport Management CPC a major advantage.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- At least three years' experience in the Waste Management and Recycling industry in a transport-oriented role.
