Data Center Electrical Lead

Head of Electrical Engineering and Design

At DataX Connect, we're seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Director to lead our data center electrical engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving consistency in design standards, advancing critical electrical systems, and spearheading improvements across our expanding portfolio of data centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and standardize electrical design across global data center projects.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure design adherence and efficiency.
  • Innovate by identifying and implementing cutting-edge technologies to reduce costs and improve energy efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain global technical documentation, including design guides and specifications.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in designing and commissioning critical power systems within data centers or similar environments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders including project managers, consultants, and contractors.
  • Expertise in global electrical standards and legislation (e.g., BS EN, IEC, DIN).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional registration.
