At Asda, we prioritize the health and wellbeing of our customers. Our Optometrists play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care, working in partnership with the Optical Manager to create an environment that combines clinical and operational excellence.

As an Optometrist at Asda, you will be responsible for screening patients, coaching and training the wider team, and helping to maintain standards on the department. You will also have access to in-store, regional, and home office teams for support and guidance.

We are committed to developing and supporting our Optometrists to reach their full potential. Our CPD programme and protected time for further accreditations ensure you have the training package to meet the ever-changing eye care needs of our customers.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment, using your clinical skills and passion for the role to deliver a memorable customer experience. You will be:

  • A fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC
  • A registered performer with your NHS area team or health board
  • MECs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months of joining Asda – funded and supported by us)
  • On track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD
  • Able to use your skills and passion for the role to deliver a memorable customer experience
  • Passionate about developing new patient services and shaping the culture of the department
