Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Imperial Recruitment Group.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out various tasks to ensure the quality of our products, including analytical testing and calibration of equipment.

  • Analysis of offloading of all ingredients will be carried out regularly.
  • Analytical testing is a key aspect of this role, ensuring the quality of our products.
  • CIP completion checks will be performed to required standards.
  • Ensuring packaging lines are serviced with products as required is essential.
  • Frequent fill height checks on all bottling lines will be conducted.
  • Checks will be carried out daily to ensure the quality of our products.
  • Suitability of incoming products prior to use will be confirmed regularly.
  • Analytical testing of in-process products is crucial to maintaining our high standards.
  • Regular analytical & microbiological testing of finished products will be performed.
  • Microbiological preparation work will be undertaken as needed.
  • Calibration of laboratory and factory equipment on a daily basis is vital.
  • Daily In-process packaging checks on all products will be conducted.
  • Monthly hygiene, fabrication and GMP inspections will be carried out, with findings logged.
  • Results of monthly hygiene, fabrication and GMP inspections will be reported to relevant departments.
  • Glass and hard plastics audits will be conducted monthly and quarterly.
  • Paperwork checks on in-process and finished products throughout the shift will be completed.
  • Final pack packaging checks will be conducted regularly.
  • Out of specification results will be reported to the Technical Manager/Technical Quality Lead immediately.
  • Correct recording of actions within IFS stock inventory system will be ensured.
  • All documentation will be completed and recorded legibly and correctly.
  • Documentation will be scanned/attached to IFS as appropriate.
  • The work area and laboratory will be kept clean & tidy at all times.
  • Faulty or broken equipment will be reported to the Technical Manager/Technical Quality Lead promptly.
  • A correct shift handover will take place with other Technicians.
  • Holiday cover for other Technicians may be required when necessary.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by the Technical Manager/Technical Quality Lead will be undertaken.

Estimated Salary: £22,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
