Job Summary

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering safe and effective care to patients accessing consultation for unplanned pregnancy, surgical and medical abortions, contraception, and sexual health services for women. They will need to be motivated, enthusiastic, caring, and empathetic, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse or midwife to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment, providing high-quality care to patients in a confidential and non-judgmental setting. The post holder will be expected to adhere to the principles of patient-centered care, as detailed in the NICE Quality Standard for Patient Experience, and to treat patients with dignity, kindness, compassion, courtesy, respect, understanding, and honesty.

Person Specification
  • Current Nurse and/or Midwifery Council NMC registration as a Registered Nurse Sub part 1 of the NMC register Registered Midwife.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and experience of working in a sexual health TOP or Gynaecological service.
  • Ultra sound scanning experience in the first trimester.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Faculty of Reproductive Sexual Healthcare FSRH Letter of Competence in intrauterine techniques ie IUS and/or IDU fitter and Insertion and removal of Subdermal Implants.
  • Recognised qualification in Independent/Supplementary Prescribing.
