About the Role:

Kenton Black is seeking a talented Civils Site Engineer to join our team on a high-profile highways project in the North West. As a key member of our site operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing key site activities, coordinating with top-tier contractors, and driving the project forward.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Setting Out: Lead the charge by accurately setting out key elements of the highways project, including earthworks, drainage, utilities, and road surfacing.
  2. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, implement risk assessments, and foster a safe working environment for all.
  3. Quality Assurance: Monitor all work to ensure it meets the highest standards, from groundwork through to final completion.
  4. Progress Reporting: Keep senior management informed with regular updates on project milestones, potential challenges, and innovative solutions to keep everything on track.
  5. Team Liaison: Work closely with subcontractors, site management, and the design team to overcome technical challenges and deliver outstanding results.
  6. Surveying & Data Collection: Use your skills to carry out surveys and manage crucial site data, providing valuable insights for design adjustments or project records.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: A proven track record with at least 3-5 years of experience as a Civils Site Engineer, particularly in highways or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  2. Education: A degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  3. Certifications: A valid CSCS card is a must; SMSTS/SSSTS and First Aid certifications are highly desirable.
  4. Skills: Proficient in setting out using the latest instruments (Total Stations, GPS, Laser Levels) with a solid understanding of groundworks and drainage systems.
  5. Knowledge: Deep knowledge of civil engineering design principles, quality control, and health and safety standards.
