About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Healthcare Assistant to join our team at County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients, working closely with our experienced and specialist workforce to deliver excellent care with compassion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care to patients, including assisting with daily living activities and providing emotional support.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, using clear and respectful language.

Requirements

  • GCSE equivalent in English and Mathematics, with the ability to produce both certificates on interview day.
  • Willingness to complete the Care Certificate within the first 6 months of commencement in post, paid band 2 until complete.
  • Previous experience in caring for others, with a strong understanding of the role of a Healthcare Assistant.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a busy and varied work environment.
