As a key member of the Exeter City Council's Operational Management Board, this role will play a crucial part in delivering the Council's corporate ambitions and priorities. The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational support to the HR, Workforce Planning & OD service, ensuring the delivery of vital services to the community.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Working in partnership with the Operational Management Board, senior management, public and private sector partners, customers, and central government to drive the delivery of the Council's services.
- Providing inspirational leadership, management, and development of the Council workforce, creating a professional, supportive environment that champions equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Ensuring the Council's corporate image and reputation are held in the highest esteem by all customers and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience in HR, workforce planning, and development.
- Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
