Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at KPI Recruiting Ltd. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a critical role in maintaining the mechanical integrity of our chemical plant equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Maintenance:
    • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machinery such as pumps, valves, compressors, heat exchangers, and conveyors.
    • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on rotating and static equipment.
    • Ensure lubrication and servicing of equipment as per schedules.
  • Installation & Commissioning:
    • Install new mechanical systems and components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
    • Assist in the commissioning of equipment and ensure proper functioning post-installation.
  • Troubleshooting:
    • Quickly and efficiently troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide corrective action to minimize downtime.
    • Analyze equipment failures and suggest improvements to prevent recurring issues.
  • Welding & Fabrication:
    • Perform basic welding and fabrication work for modifications and repairs.
    • Ensure all fabricated parts comply with safety and quality standards.
  • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):
    • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
    • Participate in safety drills and safety audits as required.
    • Report safety hazards and incidents in a timely manner.
    • Work in compliance with local environmental and chemical safety regulations.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment, as well as excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and management.
