Skanska Infrastructure Team: Construction Director Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Director to lead our Infrastructure team in Kent on a major highways project. As a key member of our Strategic Leadership Team, you will be responsible for the operational delivery of the project, ensuring it is completed safely, on budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the construction team, promoting a culture of uncompromising Health, Safety, and Wellbeing.
  • Define the organisation of the construction team, including clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability levels.
  • Challenge the design and construction teams to find innovative solutions to technical issues and minimise costs.
  • Facilitate coordination, standardisation, and consistency across sections to deliver the best outcomes for the project.
  • Set clear targets for the construction team and regularly review performance against these targets.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience of successfully delivering major highways schemes at Project Director level.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of highway construction methods and supply chain partners.
  • Progressive attitude to carbon reduction, social value, stakeholder management, and Inclusion and Diversity.
  • Experience of building and maintaining an inclusive culture.
