About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative to join our team at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective storage, handling, and distribution of equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain knowledge of equipment and select it from stock and load a van based on the next day's scheduled plan, with the support of senior drivers and warehouse supervisors.
  • Support drivers to undertake 2-person delivery/collections of equipment when requested.
  • Be responsible for following set procedures to accurately maintain stock records.
  • Undertake warehouse and decontamination duties commensurate with the post, as directed.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally at all levels with patients, staff, and visitors, and be able to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Basic Health & Safety awareness
  • Awareness of the confidential nature of the post
  • Has worked in a warehouse environment for stock selection

Desirable

  • Previous experience in stock control systems
  • Working knowledge of NHS
