We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Senior to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our audit function, you will be responsible for leading onsite audit teams, managing client relationships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of audit clients, delivering statutory audit assignments from planning to completion.
- Lead onsite audit teams to ensure quality fieldwork and effective communication with clients.
- Report directly to the Audit Manager and Partners, providing regular updates on work progress and client relationships.
- Liaise with HMRC on work assignments and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Supervise and coach junior staff, both on-site and in the office, by reviewing work and providing constructive feedback.
- Potential to gain exposure to accounts, tax, and VAT work, expanding your skillset and expertise.
- Ensure audit procedures are followed meticulously, maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
- Converse clearly and effectively with clients and colleagues, using computer software including IRIS, Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
- Manage your own workload, regularly updating managers with work progress and client interactions.
- Liaise directly with clients, building strong rapport and proactively handling queries and concerns.
- Champion your own professional development, proactively learning from the experienced team and staying up-to-date with industry developments.
- Support the wider firm with ad-hoc duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to teamwork.
