SEMH Learning Support Assistant Role

Are you passionate about supporting children with SEMH in their learning and development while in school?

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a North London based secondary school. As a SEMH Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with qualified psychologists and teachers to provide individualized support to students with various special educational needs and social, emotional mental health needs.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Psychology from a top UK University, and/or experience working with children with additional needs. You must have good basic Maths and English knowledge to support children who need additional support correctly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEMH and SEN needs
  • Work closely with qualified psychologists and teachers to develop and implement support plans
  • Support students in their learning and social skills, building confidence throughout the year
