Senior Planner - Renewable Energy Specialist

Climate17 | B Corp® is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join their specialist in-house town planning team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in driving renewable energy projects through planning milestones, contributing to the UK's Net Zero targets.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a growing team within a successful business, collaborating with industry-leading experts on renewable energy projects. You will be part of a dynamic team that works closely with in-house grid, legal, finance, project development, and construction delivery teams.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree in planning, full RTPI membership, and experience delivering consent for renewable energy generation projects. You will possess excellent working knowledge of planning policy and practice, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Planning Director and senior team in day-to-day planning activities.
  • Visit sites across the UK to evaluate risk and project scope.
  • Support the business development team with site identification work.
  • Prepare and submit planning applications and supporting documents.
  • Provide project planning support and planning strategy.
  • Engage with project stakeholders, including local planning authorities and communities.
