Maintenance Engineering Team Leader

At Marshalls PLC, we're seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineering Team Leader to join our team at our Beenham site. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll play a vital role in delivering engineering plans, production plans, and service levels within quality, safety, and cost parameters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the leadership of the site engineering teams to deliver engineering plans/production plans, service levels & engineering strategy within quality, safety and cost parameters.
  • Implement & deliver the engineering strategy that will develop and drive reliability, improve quality, Safety and asset utilisation via all direct & indirect reports.
  • Implement best practice maintenance principles for SHE/capital programme, care and maintenance.
  • Manage Engineering systems, structures, resource and processes and ways of working.
  • Assist with the engineering planning process that proactively manages and maintains manufacturing assets at site.
  • Involvement with the engineering stores system that ensures critical spares availability, stock control management & effective maintenance planning.
  • Responsible for the delivery of engineering KPI's that compliment manufacturing performance, manufacturing KPI's, and OGSM objectives.
  • Recognize best practices from within and outside the business and work with stakeholders in helping to implement these across the business whilst supporting continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Project management/deliver change initiatives.
  • Deputise for the Engineering Manager.

Requirements:
  • Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications (time served apprenticeship).
  • 3+ Years' experience of operating in a medium/large automated manufacturing operation.
  • Experience of leading an engineering team.
  • IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • Experience of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and stock control systems.
  • Experience of working with engineering schedule KPIs.
  • Project management and leading/delivering change is desired.
  • Continuous improvement/lean manufacturing techniques.
