About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Product Engineering team at Best Buy Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering scalable and well-tested applications and microservices that meet the needs of our customers and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop cloud-based software applications and microservices that are scalable, secure, and reliable.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including biomedical engineering, data science, electronics engineering, and product science, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of products.
  • Contribute to technical design and code reviews to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
  • Provide 24/7 support for the product, resolving live issues and ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Work closely with Product Management to ensure the team is accountable for delivering key objectives and outcomes that enable the product to scale and improve healthcare provision.
  • Contribute to the development of the product vision and strategy, and participate in the creation of technical roadmaps.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • 3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Significant previous experience as a Software Engineer, with a good knowledge of at least one modern programming language.
  • Experience writing tests and testable code, and a strong understanding of software development best practices.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Experience delivering across managed cloud platforms such as AWS, and a strong understanding of cloud-based architectures.
  • Ability to balance quality with a fast-paced schedule, and a strong focus on delivering results.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
