About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing financial reporting, tax compliance, and providing strategic financial advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and other compliance documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Strategic Financial Advice: Provide expert advice on tax planning, business strategy, and financial management to clients, helping them make informed decisions to drive business growth.
  • Audit Support: Assist with audits and liaise with regulatory authorities to ensure smooth compliance and minimize risks.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff members and contribute to their professional development, helping them grow and succeed in their roles.
  • Client Relationships: Build strong client relationships and maintain excellent communication to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with at least 5 years of experience in a professional accountancy firm.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks).
