Job Title: Data Science Expert in Cybersecurity

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Data Science Expert to join our team at BT Security. As a key member of our research and network strategy group, you will apply your technical expertise to complex business issues and opportunities. This is a technical expert role where you will engage with colleagues to progress new research in important technical topics and support the realization of business value from research and innovation outputs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage research projects/tasks, both internal to Research and Network Strategy and with collaborative partners.
  2. Accountable for defining and performing research in network threat data analysis and threat prevention and deliver high impact and high value across multiple domains.
  3. Supervise graduate and post-graduate student placements and secondments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

This role requires strong academic records in technology specialism with post-graduate qualifications (PhD or equivalent research experience). You should have skills in AI/ML, storytelling with data, and Python coding. Experience in technical domain expertise, significant delivery, stakeholder management, and commercial applicability is also essential.
