Administrative Professional

Job Summary:
This role involves supporting the service's administration needs, including managing new starter paperwork, organizing training and leave requests. You will liaise with new staff members as you verify their compliance documents, such as DBS checks, identification, references and Right-To-Work.
The ideal candidate will be organized and able to keep the general office function running smoothly. This includes maintaining confidential files, cascading post, answering phones in a friendly and helpful way, and ensuring spreadsheets are up to date and logical.
As an Administrator, you will work alongside senior staff members to manage staff absences and leave requests, maintain personnel files, and produce audits.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Managing staff payroll and checking weekly and monthly cost reports
- Liaising with head office/payroll to ensure relevant documents are sent
- Creating and updating HR paper files
- Ensuring compliance with all HR policies & procedures and liaising with Operational HR and Head Office staff on the delivery of HR practices and processes
- Managing petty cash, purchase orders and invoice processing
- Dealing with access to records requests
- Covering reception and other department colleagues as required
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Secretarial and/or HR Administration experience
- ECDL, RSA II, Typing/Word Processing or equivalent
- 4 GCSEs at grade C or above (including English and Mathematics) or equivalent
- Experience of minute taking and strong skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Knowledge of working with systems to support HR and Finance Departments
- Awareness and knowledge in following confidentiality and security
