We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Social Work Practitioner to join our Safeguarding Adults Hub at West Sussex County Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding vulnerable adults and leading a dedicated team working across various agencies.

About the Role:
  • Manage and oversee complex cases, triaging safeguarding referrals and conducting risk assessments.
  • Implement effective support plans and provide professional supervision and guidance to social workers and unregistered practitioners.
  • Contribute to our community-led support model, promoting well-being, independence, and safety through prevention, enablement, and reablement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of social workers and unregistered practitioners in providing high-quality support to vulnerable adults.
  • Develop and implement effective support plans, ensuring the safety and well-being of service users.
  • Collaborate with agencies, including the police, fire service, domestic abuse services, and health, to ensure a comprehensive approach to safeguarding.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Social Work Practitioner or equivalent role.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, families, and agencies.
