About the Role

Pursue a full-time position as a Teaching Assistant supporting pupils in a nursery class.

We are looking for someone with a Level 2 Childcare qualification to join our team at a school in Derby that promotes positive behaviour and opportunities for all children, regardless of background or religion.

As a permanent member of staff, you will be expected to maintain high standards and perform regular assessments of pupils. You should be confident with personal care and committed to providing excellent support to the classroom team.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child development and be able to create a nurturing environment that encourages learning and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons to meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Assist with the implementation of individual education plans and provide one-to-one support where needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and contribute to reports and meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • A minimum Level 2 Childcare qualification (or equivalent) for ratio purposes.
  • Experience working with children in a nursery setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
