About the Role
As a Senior Podiatrist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with a range of podiatric conditions, including nail surgery, MSK/biomechanics, wound care, and diabetes care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with all PPH standards, policies, and procedures.
- Assess capacity, gain valid informed consent, and work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent to treatment.
- Deliver a wide range of podiatric treatments based on patient needs and agreed management plans.
- Provide specialist advice, teaching, and training to other members of the multidisciplinary team as required.
Professional Development:
- Maintain own clinical professional development by keeping up to date with new trends and developments.
- Be an active member of the CPD training programme by attending and delivering presentations, training sessions, and external courses.
- Undertake measurement and evaluation of work and current practices through Evidence Based Practice projects, audit, and outcome measures.
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of Clinical Governance and Risk Management and apply to work situations.
- Represent Premier Physical Healthcare externally regarding the podiatry service provided to patients.
- Promote understanding of the aims of Premier Physical Healthcare to relatives and carers as appropriate.
