Container Maintenance and Repair Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Container Maintenance and Repair Specialist to join our dynamic team at Enva. The primary purpose of this role is to maintain and refurbish our container stock, ensuring that our collections team has a consistent supply of ready-to-use containers for delivery to customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct proactive maintenance and repairs on a variety of waste containers, ensuring they are safe for public use.
  • Perform defect rectifications, such as lid and wheel replacements, and repair damaged sections of containers.
  • Manage and maintain welding equipment and stock of metal materials and consumables.
  • Maintain operational container stock to minimize downtime and support the achievement of service levels.
  • Assist with other tasks on site as required, within your technical capabilities.
  • Adhere to and promote a positive health and safety culture in the workplace, reporting any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
  • Ensure the workshop is kept clean, tidy, and safe to use.
Requirements:
  • At least 12 months of practical experience as a welder/fabricator.
  • MIG Welding qualification.
  • A strong commitment to health and safety practices.
  • Ability to move and maneuver wheeled bins and skips within the workshop.
