Job Title: Group Engineering Manager

Join Hays Engineering as a Group Engineering Manager and take on a challenging role that requires strategic thinking and leadership skills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and leading the maintenance strategy, including capital expenditure, engineering projects, and resource planning.

About the Role

As a Group Engineering Manager, you will report to the Operations Director and be responsible for:

  • Managing and leading the maintenance strategy, including capital expenditure, engineering projects, and resource planning.
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement, reviewing processes, procedures, and standards across site.
  • Implementing change while maintaining a high level of standards, safety, and quality output.
  • Supporting cross-functional departments in the delivery of their objectives.
  • Leading the maintenance strategy for planned preventative and reactive maintenance to actively reduce downtime.
  • Managing contractors and third-party suppliers while encouraging a safety-first and compliant environment across site.
What You'll Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven and extensive experience in process manufacturing, FMCG, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective plans.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
