Job Summary:
Nicholas Associates is seeking a highly experienced SHEQ Advisor to join our team in the North West region. As a SHEQ Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring daily operations are compliant with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Onboarding and Compliance: Onboard new employees during the recruitment stage, delivering company induction and D&A screening.
- Operational Support: Support, advise, and monitor site working practices to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Risk Management: Support the development of RAMS in the planning stages of the scope through to execution, and provide functional support to the Site Management and Operational Team advising on HSEQ standards on sites.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with onsite HSEQ team, Operations Team, assessing and responding to site requirements, and be visible onsite and engaging with employees to develop a sound safety culture.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and deliver bespoke packages to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles safely and effectively.
- Reporting and Monitoring: Record actions from HSE management system audits, inspections, and safety tours, and monitor progress of implementation.
- Investigation and Analysis: Advise and assist in unwanted event investigation alongside the operational team as required.
Requirements:
- Experienced SHEQ Advisor with a strong Mechanical or Scaffolding background preferred.
- Experience working in the power industry.
- Experienced and comfortable travelling to multiple sites in the North West region.
- Minimum NEBOSH certificate.
- Member of IOSH or similar OHS certified body.
- Experience in the petro-chemical industry or similar.
