Financial Planning and Analysis Director

Established in 2020 by Temasek, a leading investment company in Singapore, ISTARI is a global cybersecurity collective with a presence across EMEA, APAC, and AMER. Our unique model focuses on offering a three-pronged, client-centric approach to building resilient organizations:

  • INVESTOR - The ISTARI Collective comprises 8 cybersecurity product and services companies and 4 VC fund partnerships, with a committed fund size of $2bn.
  • EDUCATOR - The ISTARI Academy delivers digital risk leadership programs to senior executives in partnership with the University of Cambridge, aiming to make today's business leaders digitally fluent.

With over $1 billion of Assets Under Management, ISTARI's finance team requires an experienced Director of FP&A and Commercial Finance for the Group. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining ISTARI's long-term financial plan, updating it regularly, and developing methods to enhance forecasting.
  • Tracking ISTARI performance against plan and preparing supporting analysis for senior management.
  • Developing a deep understanding of ISTARI's financial performance by owning, maintaining, and updating financial models, analyzing key drivers of performance, and surfacing key issues to ISTARI management.
  • Identifying and executing performance enhancement initiatives.
  • Working with Temasek's PDG team to ensure Temasek is updated on ISTARI and ISTARI portfolio performance on a regular basis.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience.
  • Strong academic background, ideally with an accounting qualification.
  • Global company experience, particularly covering finance for multiple countries and currencies.
  • Strong understanding of and experience with analysis of consolidated complex international groups.
  • Prior experience in using and developing financial analysis systems.
  • Experience of Google/Microsoft tools.
