About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Principal Policy Planner to work within our national growth team. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead on key elements of strategic planning, supporting our clients and taking on project management responsibilities when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with clients and partner councils to deliver projects across strategic planning and development management, including Local Plans and supporting evidence.
  • Provide high-quality professional advice and direction on planning matters, being proactive and problem-solving as required.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of planning policies, identifying innovative ways to measure and improve.
  • Process major planning applications in a timely manner, producing recommendations and reports in line with client requirements and presenting evidence on appeals.
  • Ensure project and team targets are met, sharing knowledge and expertise effectively across the wider team.
