Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our Rail team at Frankham Consultancy Group. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the Infrastructure Engineering team, which includes Maritime and Asset Management.

About the Role

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for managing project teams, undertaking project management roles, and determining project scope, budget, and programme. You will also be expected to prepare or check technical reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, risk assessments, and method statements, as well as conduct inspections, examinations, and scoping visits with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project team members, providing technical support and guidance.
  • Undertake project management roles, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Determine project scope, budget, and programme, utilizing your expertise in infrastructure engineering.
  • Responsible for the financial, technical, and project management of various projects, collaborating with stakeholders and clients.
  • Prepare or check technical reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Conduct inspections, examinations, and scoping visits with clients, promoting effective communication and relationship-building.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 6 years of experience in civil/structural engineering, preferably in the Rail sector and on infrastructure projects.
  2. Strong design experience in various projects and structures in the Rail sector.
  3. Proven track record of assisting or delivering projects on time and within budget.
  4. Experience in financial management, including managing project finances and budgets.
  5. Knowledge of Eurocodes, Network Rail, Railway Group, and British Standards.
  6. Familiarity with Network Rail engineering assurance processes and procedures.
  7. Proficient use of structural analysis software, such as Tekla Tedds, Tekla Structural Designer (2D/3D frame), S-frame 3D, Robot, SuperStress, MIDAS, LUSAS, etc.
  8. Excellent MS Office skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  9. Able to work from home and adapt to changing project demands.

Salary

Estimated salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
