Compliance Manager - Care Regulated Services

Shaw Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to join our Clinical Governance Team. This role involves conducting rigorous audits and inspections across our care settings registered with national regulators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, direct, and complete audits and inspections, following up with service managers and operational teams.
  • Relay audit outcomes, set requirements, and timescales for completion with service managers and operational teams, and produce reports.
  • Report to the Director of Compliance and Governance, working closely with compliance and governance colleagues, operational management, and teams on continuous quality improvement and business development.
  • Maintain oversight and management of a caseload of regulated services, ensuring required audits are completed, monitoring risk levels, assessing incoming concerns, and keeping records up to date.
  • Carry out audits in line with an agreed programme, observing and reporting on the well-being of service users, identifying and monitoring areas of non-compliance, raising and responding to safeguarding concerns.
  • Take responsibility for following and progressing actions in relation to services of concern, liaising with key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to setting and achieving organisational performance objectives, including quantitative and qualitative measures.
  • Prepare correspondence and reports in relation to specific issues raised about services.
Requirements:
  • Excellent analytical, clinical, auditing, and presentation skills.
  • Good working and research-based knowledge of the regulatory framework and its influence on registered settings.
  • Experience in staff and audit management within health and social care.
  • Proven experience and qualifications within health and social care, including management certification.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Collect evidence in an objective and measured manner to inform decisions and judgments about quality of care and service provision.
  • Positive, honest, open, and constructive approach when inspecting/auditing, delivering feedback, and completing reports.
  • Car driver and current license.
