Transport Planner

We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team at supplychainonline.co - Jobboard. As a Transport Planner, you will play a crucial role in managing driver hours, route optimization, and ensuring the efficient movement of goods.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage driver hours and WTD to ensure compliance with regulations
- Plan routes cost-effectively to minimize fuel consumption and reduce carbon emissions
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and ensure compliance
- Ensure sufficient resources are available to meet customer demands
- Liaise with third-party contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth operations
- Process documentation and drivers' paperwork accurately and efficiently
- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Transport Manager CPC or willingness to obtain it
- Knowledge of planning systems and processes
- Experience in a similar role with planning and fleet management
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficient in MS packages, particularly Excel and Word
- Able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience in Liquid, Bulk, or Chemical Logistics is essential
- Experience of third-party logistics and service partners is desirable
