Job Title: Special School Nursing Team Leader - Band 7Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled nursing professional to lead our Special School Nursing Team as a Band 7 Team Leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, managing a team of nurses and healthcare assistants, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care to pupils with complex health needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership to the Special School Nursing Team
  • Manage a team of nurses and healthcare assistants
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing care to pupils with complex health needs
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safe and effective delivery of nursing care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Conduct regular audits and evaluations to ensure the quality of care
  • Develop and maintain relationships with education staff, parents, and carers to ensure effective communication and collaboration
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (Adult, Child, or Learning Disability)
  • Mentorship qualification
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
  • Leadership and management qualification (desirable)
  • Children's continence qualification or evidence of attending children's continence course (desirable)
  • Extensive post-qualification experience in nursing, preferably in a special school or community setting
  • Experience of managing a team of nurses and healthcare assistants
  • Ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents, carers, and education staff
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
