Caralex Recruitment Careers is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a commercial department of a well-established new build residential developer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for running sites in Berkshire and the surrounding counties, working closely with a trainee Quantity Surveyor and reporting to the Commercial Manager.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Preparing and submitting reports, contracts, budgets, and plans.
- Conducting feasibility studies to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Managing cost control, estimation, planning, and forecasting to ensure project profitability.
- Performing cost benefit analysis to inform business decisions.
- Resolving disputes and negotiating with stakeholders.
- Providing expert advice on valuations and value engineering.
- Collaborating with Materials Buyers, Technical, and Sales teams to ensure seamless project execution.
To be successful in this role, you will require a degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management and a proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong understanding of commercial management principles.
