Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with cargo handling agents, transport providers, and customs for efficient movement of cargo

  • Oversee cargo security and ensure safe handling of goods
  • Implement and manage cargo handling and operating procedures
  • Manage relationships with airlines, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Plan and schedule cargo shipments, track and address any delays
  • Assess and review the performance of the cargo operations and implement improvements
  • Manage and lead the cargo operations team
  • Prepare and manage budgets and financial reports for the cargo operations
  • Develop contingency plans to handle cargo operations during emergencies or disruptions

General Activities:

  • Manage the performance of the team and reassign duties if needed
  • Organize and motivate individuals to optimize the entire team's output
  • Support other team leaders and work with the management team to improve processes
  • Complete daily reports to identify unseen opportunities
  • Ensure services are delivered within specified deadlines
  • Provide optimum customer service to internal teams with the end customer's needs in focus
